Tech Valley High School needs your help! This
innovative regional public high school is based on strong linkages and ongoing
interaction between the real world of work in an emerging technologies
community and the school’s curriculum and activities. Read below to see how
you can participate.
Exposiums
Daytime poster/trade booth business sessions held in early fall to familiarize
students with Tech Valley businesses and organizations.
Participate
in a J-Term project Host student visitors for 1 to 5 days during January while they become
acquainted with your business and industry as part of an independent study
project. J-Terms enable individual interaction between students and area
professionals that help students gain a realistic understanding of an industry
or field of study that is practiced in our region.
Participate in an Internship
Host a student intern in your business.
Participate in an Externship
Host a Tech Valley High teacher in your organization so they may gain a
further understanding of "real world" practices.
Host a Lunch-and-Learn
An interactive brown bag lunch session held at the school with students to
discuss current topics in technology, fields of interest or business affecting
our region today.
Be a Guest Speaker
Talk with students about aspects of your business that relate to the subject
of their class projects.
Get Involved in Projects
Collaborate with a faculty member to create projects in your area of
expertise. Work with students to stretch their thought process as they work on
problems related to your field.
