Middle School counselors and Committee on Special Education (CSE) chairmen from across the Capital Region will visit TVHS on Thursday to tour the school and meet students.
The study tour is slated to begin at 8 a.m. and will feature a tour of the school led by students, as well as a question-and-answer session with faculty and students, and an opportunity to see students and teachers in action.
Officials from Bethlehem, East Greenbush, Catskill, Menands, Lansingburgh and more schools are scheduled to attend the event, which was open to all schools in the Capital Region and Questar III BOCES.
Study tours of TVHS - the only school of its kind in New York State - are designed for those interested in learning more about the school. The tours feature information on principles and practices followed at TVHS, as well as provide an opportunity for educators to observe TVHS faculty and staff in the classroom.
This special tour is also designed to ensure counselors have a complete understanding of TVHS when approached by student interested in attending.
Tech Valley High School, operated by Capital Region and Questar III BOCES, is a regional public high school that serves students from 40 school districts.
