Tour stops include TVHS on Monday, Hudson on Thursday

01.22.10

The series of information sessions will make stops Monday in East Greenbush and Thursday in Hudson.

The sessions begin at 6 p.m. The East Greenbush stop will be at Tech Valley High School, which is located at the University at Albany East Campus, B Wing, 9 University Place in East Greenbush. The Hudson session will be conducted at 215 Harry Howard Avenue, Hudson.

The first two sessions last week at TVHS and in Schoharie drew more than 100 people and more than 40 prospective students.

"We have had a fantastic turnout so far, our largest ever," said Principal Dan Liebert.

The sessions provide an opportunity for students to learn more about TVHS, 21st Century Skills and project-based learning, which is the unique way TVHS prepares students for success in college and the modern workforce.

“These sessions are great opportunities for students interested in TVHS to talk with current students, meet with faculty, and parents can discuss the school with current parents and have all of their questions about enrollment answered. We are thrilled to be able to welcome the class of 2014 and discuss our school with prospective students," said Liebert.

While the information sessions are geared to incoming freshmen, TVHS does have openings in its 10th and 11th grades and prospective students in those grades are welcome to attend the sessions to learn more.

Future sessions are scheduled for:

  • February 2, 2010, Scotia-Glenville High School, 1 Tartan Way in Scotia.

  • February 4, 2010, Tech Valley High School

For more information, call the school at 862-4960.
