TVHS to exhibit at STEM Expo

TVHS faculty and administrators will showcase their knowledge at the STEM 2010 EXPO on Friday, March 26 at Ballston Spa High School.
Principal Dan Liebert along with teachers Stacia Snow and Leah Penniman will present a 10:45 a.m. workshop at the expo about project based learning and how it can work while still meeting state standards. Additionally, TVHS will have a booth at the show, through which faculty and staff will be available to answer questions and discuss the unique educational setting that is TVHS.
The focus of Tech Valley High School is to provide an education on 21st Century Skills in a project-based learning environment. This is accomplished through unprecedented collaboration between K-12 public schools, higher education, business, organized labor and government.
The TVHS contingent will be among a list of presenters that include representatives of the College of Nanoscale Science & Engineering, the New York State Energy Research Development Authority and Hudson Valley Community College.
The expo is described as "A sharing of best practices for 21st Century K-12 teaching and learning in the Tech Valley Region."
