Lottery done, new students to hear from home districts

And the winner is ..... numerous area students.
Tech Valley High School officials conducted on Friday the lottery for students seeking a spot in the freshman class next fall.
With an attorney looking on, the regional public high school chose students from a pool of 82 applicants from the 22 Capital Region and Questar III school district's who have agreed to send new students next year.
The results will be reported to those schools by Monday and those schools will then notify the applicants.
"Tech Valley gives the districts the opportunity to share the good news with the students first," said counselor Dean Walker.
The new TVHS students will then be contacted by TVHS starting on April 1.
