Congratulations to the Tech Valley High School Class of 2025
On Wednesday, June 25, the Tech Valley High School community gathered at the University at Albany’s Performing Arts Center to celebrate the graduation of the Class of 2025. In front of family, friends, teachers, school leaders and partners, 35 students were honored for their achievements, growth, and contributions.
The ceremony opened with the national anthem, performed on piano by graduating senior Seth Swann. Throughout the ceremony, five student speakers reflected on their journeys at TVHS. They spoke with passion and honesty about the projects that challenged them, the skills they developed in our learning outcomes, especially in collaboration and communication, and the relationships that made all the difference. Karina reminded us that we all want a Pocket Vaughan to bring with us on our travels.
In a moment of connection between past and present, 2015 alumnus Noah Hellman delivered the keynote address. Now a doctoral candidate at UAlbany, Noah reflected on how the lessons he learned at Tech Valley, like taking initiative, working across disciplines, and embracing feedback, have shaped his academic and professional path. His message offered reassurance to the Class of 2025 as they step into their next chapters.
Andrew Roberts, representing Hudson Valley Community College, honored four graduates who went above and beyond by completing their associate’s degrees while still in high school. The entire graduating class earned an average of 17 college credits, and six students surpassed 30, evidence of their drive and readiness for what comes next.
Twelve students were recognized for their exceptional commitment to community service, each contributing over 150 hours during their four years. Their efforts reflect the school’s core value of stewardship.
One of the most meaningful parts of the ceremony was when students received their certificates from their advisors. These personalized moments captured the strength of the advisor-student relationship at Tech Valley. Whether it was traditional, a personalized handshake, or a choreographed dance, the graduates had one last opportunity to connect with their advisors.
To close the ceremony, District Superintendents Dr. Gladys Cruz and Lauren Gemmill offered heartfelt congratulations to the graduates and their families. Their remarks echoed what everyone in the room felt: pride in this class’s accomplishments and excitement for what lies ahead.
We are proud of every one of our graduates and can’t wait to see how they’ll continue to shape the world. Congratulations, Class of 2025! You showed up for each other, you put in the work, and now the future is yours.
