TVHS organizing robotics competition at SUNY Poly

This Saturday (12/14), TVHS will host a VEX robotics competition at SUNY Poly’s Zero Energy Nanotechnology (ZEN) Atrium. The event allows students to use VEX robots to help inspire STEM-based learning in New York State.

The event will feature more than a dozen teams comprised of local high school students who will take part in the “tower takeover” experience. Students will use working VEX robots they ha ve designed to complete a specific set of challenges as they go head-to-head against opponents.

Similar competitions take place in every state and more than 40 countries, providing participants with hands-on engineering experience, a competitive environment and life skills such as teamwork, perseverance, communication, collaboration, project management and critical thinking.

The event will run from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
