National Grid makes donation to support new summer camp for 7th & 8th graders

Tech Valley High School would like to thank National Grid for the financial support of the school’s inaugural summer camp this upcoming July. The commitment of $5,000 will go a long way to ensure that we provide our camp attendees with what is expected to be a memorable, enriching experience.

“Whether it’s through staff working with our faculty and students on projects throughout the year, visits by senior administration like New York Regional President Ken Daly, or the valuable time that your colleague Kim Ireland offers as a member of the school’s Business Alliance, we are fortunate to have a corporate partner who supports us the way National Grid does,” Tech Valley Regional Technology Institute Director Jim Church said. “Thank you for taking the time to visit with us, to learn about the innovative programs and learning environment that we offer our students as well as the continued support ― it is truly appreciated.”

The camp will be held from July 17-21 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The free experience is open to middle school students entering 7th and 8th grades in the 2017-18 school year. The experience will be based at TVHS, with half-day trips in the Capital Region. To register, parents are invited to contact TVHS School Outreach Coordinator Sarah Fiess at (518) 862-4958.
